What is IELTS?

Modified on Thu, 25 Sep at 11:53 AM

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an English level exam. You can use IELTS to show your English level. Many organisations look for your IELTS score to know if you have the necessary English level. These organisations include:

  • Visa and immigration authorities of countries like the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada and others.
  • Universities
  • Medical Employment Organisations
  • Other employers

Four English skills (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) will be assessed during the test. You will receive a score of 0-9 for each skill, and an overall score of 0-9.

You will receive a certificate with your IELTS score. This certificate is valid for 2 years.
