The IELTS Listening test recording is approximately 30 minutes long, although no two recordings will ever be exactly the same length.
If you are taking the IELTS On Computer or IELTS Online test, you will have an extra 2 minutes to check your answers after the recording finishes. Use this time to make sure you have answered every question and that your spelling is correct. (Total time: approximately 32 minutes)
NOTE: You will not have enough time to copy all your answers from notes into the answer boxes after the recording finishes, so answers must be input while you are listening, during the test itself.
If you are taking the IELTS On Paper test, you will have an extra 10 minutes to transfer your answers from the question paper to the answer sheet after the recording finishes. Write your answers carefully and use this time to make sure you have answered every question and that your spelling is correct. (Total time: approximately 40 minutes)
