Where can I see example answers for Writing and Speaking?

We have example answers for all Writing questions (Task 1 and Task 2) on our site. We also have videos of students taking the Speaking test.

To see these, you first need to try the question yourself!

Go to Practice on your menu. Choose Writing or Speaking and then complete a mock test or do a practice question.

When you have completed the mock test or practice, it will appear in your History area.

When you view your feedback or just view your answers, you can see the example answers at the bottom of the page.

For Writing, you can see example answers from bands 5 - 9 for every writing task in the system. Click on the marking criteria (Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource and Grammatical Range and Accuracy) to see examiner comments.

For Speaking, you can see videos of students taking the various parts of the IELTS Speaking test and their band scores. There are videos for students who achieved different band scores and each video has an examiner explanation below:
