Can I ask the examiner to repeat or explain the question?

In the Speaking test, you can ask the examiner to repeat the question if you didn't hear it fully the first time. You can also ask them to rephrase the question if it was not clear to you. You should learn some polite ways to ask this. But it's not a good idea to do this for every question!

However, the examiner will not explain the topic. If you still don't understand, then try and give an answer related to the keywords in the question. You can still score highly, even if you don't completely answer the question.
